The Von Norten Antibes Rechargeable Table Lamp is a cordless, portable LED table lamp, and the tallest built around interchangeable shades: a 30 cm base combining an iron frame with natural bamboo, designed in Stockholm and finished with whichever shade suits the room.
The height and the natural material give Antibes a calmer, more elegant presence, and lift the light well clear of a laid table.
Best for: long dining tables, garden rooms and terraces in dry weather, rustic and natural interiors, and anyone who wants natural material rather than plated metal.
Warm, dimmable light
Antibes uses a warm 2700K LED to create soft, inviting ambient light.
A single button on the base cycles through three brightness levels — low, medium and high — and then off.
With a colour rendering index of CRI Ra >80, Antibes renders food, flowers and glassware naturally — which matters more on a dining table than raw brightness does.
Rechargeable and cordless
Antibes runs on an integrated 5200 mAh rechargeable lithium battery. A full charge takes 4–6 hours over the included USB-C cable and gives 15–20 hours of light, depending on the brightness setting — comfortably more than a full evening service.
Because Antibes is completely cordless, it can be carried between tables, taken outside for dinner and brought back in, with no trailing cable and no need for a socket nearby.
Interchangeable lampshades
Von Norten lampshades mount on a universal E27/E14 ring fitting, the standard by which shades and bases are matched across Europe. The shade you choose is included in the price, and further shades are available in small, medium and large, in a wide range of fabrics, prints, colours and trims — and because the fitting is a standard one, most shades made for ordinary lamp bases will fit as well.
The same base can take on a classical, modern or bold character depending on which shade it is paired with.
Using Antibes outdoors
Antibes is rated IP20, which means it is designed for indoor use and has no protection against water. It can be used outdoors in dry weather — on a terrace, at an outdoor table — but should be brought inside if it starts to rain. For a lamp built to stay outside, see Ophelia, which is rated IP54.

The base is 30 cm. With a shade the total is 39 cm (small), 40.5 cm (medium) or 43.5 cm (large) — a shade does not add its full height, because the ring fitting sits partway up inside it.
Can Antibes be used outdoors?
In dry weather, yes. It is rated IP20 with no water protection, so bring it indoors if it rains. Ophelia is the model rated for outdoor use.
Is Antibes suitable for restaurants and cafés?
Yes. A single charge covers a full service, there is no cable to route across a table, and the lamps can be charged overnight.
