The Von Norten Ophelia Rechargeable Table Lamp is a cordless, portable LED table lamp, and the one in the range built to stay outside. Rated IP54 against dust and splashing water and finished in brass or bronze, Ophelia is designed for terraces, balconies and garden tables as much as for dining rooms.

Designed in Stockholm and made from zinc alloy, iron and acrylic, Ophelia also has one of the highest colour rendering indices in the range at Ra >90.

Best for: outdoor dining, terraces, balconies and gardens; restaurants and cafés with outside seating; and anyone who wants one lamp that moves between inside and out without a second thought.

Warm, dimmable light

Ophelia uses a warm 2700K LED to create soft, inviting ambient light.

Ophelia is operated by touch control with dimming, so the brightness can be set to suit the setting and the time of evening.

With a colour rendering index of CRI Ra >90, Ophelia renders food, flowers and glassware naturally — which matters more on a dining table than raw brightness does.

Rechargeable and cordless

Ophelia runs on an integrated 5200 mAh rechargeable lithium battery. A full charge takes 4–6 hours over the included USB-C cable and gives 15–20 hours of light, depending on the brightness setting — comfortably more than a full evening service.

Because Ophelia is completely cordless, it can be carried between tables, taken outside for dinner and brought back in, with no trailing cable and no need for a socket nearby.

Using Ophelia outdoors

Ophelia carries an IP54 rating: protected against dust, and against water splashing from any direction. That makes it suitable for terraces, balconies, garden tables and covered outdoor dining, where every other Von Norten lamp is rated IP20 and intended for indoor use.

IP54 covers splashing water rather than sustained heavy rain or immersion, so Ophelia should not be left standing in a downpour or submerged.

Can the shade be changed?
No. The shade is part of the lamp. Athena, Athena Slim and Antibes are the Von Norten models built for interchangeable shades.

Can Ophelia be used outdoors?
