Beskrivning
Offered without a shade, the Athena Slim Gold lamp base is complete in every other respect — the same base, the same battery and the same warm light as the finished lamp. It is for anyone who already has a shade they love, or who would rather take their time choosing one.
The Von Norten Athena Slim Gold Rechargeable Table Lamp is a cordless, portable LED table lamp — the tall, slender Athena, the same warm light lifted onto a 22 cm base in gold and brass. The extra height raises the shade above plates and glasses and spreads the light a little wider, which makes Athena Slim the better choice on a broad table or a bar counter.
Best for: larger dining tables, bar and counter tops, console tables and hallways — anywhere a low lamp would disappear behind the tableware.
Warm, dimmable light
Athena Slim Gold uses a warm 2700K–3000K LED to create soft, inviting ambient light.
A single button on the base cycles through three brightness levels — low, medium and high — and then off.
With a colour rendering index of CRI Ra >80, Athena Slim Gold renders food, flowers and glassware naturally — which matters more on a dining table than raw brightness does.
Rechargeable and cordless
Athena Slim Gold runs on an integrated 5200 mAh rechargeable lithium battery. A full charge takes 4–6 hours over the included USB-C cable and gives 15–20 hours of light, depending on the brightness setting — comfortably more than a full evening service.
Because Athena Slim Gold is completely cordless, it can be carried between tables, taken outside for dinner and brought back in, with no trailing cable and no need for a socket nearby.
Interchangeable lampshades
Von Norten lampshades mount on a universal E27/E14 ring fitting, the standard by which shades and bases are matched across Europe. Shades are sold separately in small, medium and large, in a wide range of fabrics, prints, colours and trims — and because the fitting is a standard one, most shades made for ordinary lamp bases will fit as well.
The same base can take on a classical, modern or bold character depending on which shade it is paired with.
Using Athena Slim Gold outdoors
Athena Slim Gold is rated IP20, which means it is designed for indoor use and has no protection against water. It can be used outdoors in dry weather — on a terrace, at an outdoor table — but should be brought inside if it starts to rain. For a lamp built to stay outside, see Ophelia, which is rated IP54.

Frequently asked questions
How long does the battery last on one charge?
15–20 hours, depending on which brightness setting you use. Charging takes 4–6 hours over the included USB-C cable.
Will Von Norten lampshades fit other lamps?
Yes. The shades use a universal E27/E14 ring fitting, the standard by which shades and bases are matched across Europe, so they fit every Von Norten base and most table lamps from other makers.
How tall is the finished lamp?
The base is 22 cm. With a shade the total is 31 cm (small), 32.5 cm (medium) or 35.5 cm (large) — a shade does not add its full height, because the ring fitting sits partway up inside it.
Can Athena Slim Gold be used outdoors?
In dry weather, yes. It is rated IP20 with no water protection, so bring it indoors if it rains. Ophelia is the model rated for outdoor use.
Can the bulb be replaced?
Yes. Athena Slim Gold uses a replaceable E14 LED bulb rather than a sealed light source.
Is Athena Slim Gold suitable for restaurants and cafés?
Yes. A single charge covers a full service, there is no cable to route across a table, and the lamps can be charged overnight.
What is the difference between Athena and Athena Slim?
Height and proportion. Athena has an 18 cm base; Athena Slim is 22 cm and narrower. Battery, light, controls and shade compatibility are identical, so the choice is about how the lamp sits on your table.
